In the development of the calcium products and determining the exact composition, Elan collaborated closely with multiple medical specialists, reviewed the clinical guidelines of the scientific organizations in the field field (American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and International Federation of the Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Disorders) and made use of the most recent scientific insights.The calcium products of Elan contain calcium citrate, because this form of calcium is properly absorbed by your body. In addition, vitamin D has been added to the calcium products, because this increases the calcium intake in your bones. Calcium and vitamin D are needed for strong bones and teeth.

Calcium is not included in the WLS/bariatric products (Compass, Believe, and Supreme products) of Elan, because calcium can inhibit the iron absorption of your body. If you use the calcium products of Elan, please do not take the calcium products at a the same time as your WLS/bariatric products (Compass, Believe, and Supreme products). Take at least 2 hours in between taking the calcium products and the WLS/bariatric product. In this way your body has the time to absorb the iron in the WLS/bariatric product.

IMPORTANT: If you also use the Compass, Believe, or Supreme products of Elan or another brand, please do not take the calcium vital tablets at a the same time as your WLS / bariatric product.
